A quirky Appalachian mind.

Nathaniel Stewart

Through my work in ultralow-budget independent horror films, I learned a ton about myself and the creative process. It really helped me to come out of my shell and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities I was given.

Writing in its different forms has been my primary passion since I was a young child filling up floppy disks. My storytelling ranges from abstract surrealism to stoic horror realism, and I don’t adhere to one style.

Many of my works have been published anonymously or pseudonymously, and some have been lost to the chaos of the Internet. I am working on republishing as many as possible in the near future, as well as a full-length novel.

Noted works:

My obsession with music also stems from my childhood. I began writing rap lyrics at seven years old and later started writing rock and metal before falling in love with rap again in high school. It was in high school that I began obsessive work on Automaton Ramadan, and ultimately didn’t finish it until it was too late—I fizzled out of the music scene in extreme obscurity.

Photography and visual art have also been a longtime passion of mine. As a child, I carried a point-and-shoot camera to take pictures of everything I could. Around 2014 I got my first DSLR and started taking the artform seriously.

I have published over 1400 of my photos on my Instagram page. My photographic work often falls into the new topographics genre, but I don’t adhere to one. I just shoot what I see.

In addition to my photography, I’ve also done a lot of other visual art as well—mainly in the glitch art, post-vaporwave space. Much like my music and my writing, my visual art represents the fragments of my brain and the beauty within the chaos.
